Think about it logically for a second.

Where is all of your music coming from in a "normal" setup? The head unit.

Where would all your music be coming from with a carputer? The PC's sound card output. So all you need to do is get the right adapters for the low-level output, and run that into your amplifier(s). An external active crossover might not be a bad idea, especially if your amps are hard to adjust...
