Why not use a vertical slot port in the middle that L's off both ways, OR port it on the side...

THANK YOU. thats what ive been wondering myself. ive always gone sealed, but given the t/s parameters these subs seem to like a low tuned ported enclosure. i would rather have the port design as you specified, by all means it seems to be more common, but i cant figure out how.

just took a test in one of my classes, i was uptight and was trying to make a funny, not be an ***. well i heard a lot of guys of at diyma running these things sealed, then deciding to go the ported route with a properly tuned enclosure and loving it. i heard one sealed and it impressed me for what its worth... guy said he is dying to hear it ported though

(i dont care about dB's for those that havent got the hint) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif ok you lol'd. now serious'd. im about to start a new enclosure for some dayton ho 10s, given the winisd plot i had nik1818 do for me over at icix and the design, do you guys see any problems with the port design?i plan to roundover all the edges on the port to reduce port noise. thoughts? i want this thing to be most SQ oriented as possible, if its sacrificing to output ill go sealed, but according to playin with winisd by my dealings, and others... the ho's excel in a ported enclosure... just never seen one with a port quite like this.

I see no reason why that would not work.
