These 3 going to work together?

in order to get the best potential for the speakers, connect them to an amplifier. find a good 4-channel amp. if you dont want to spend too much, find a hifonics 4-channel amp or a used one in the forum. infinities are 2-ohm speakers than 4 ohm, so you got to get them a amplifier for it to be performing good.

I would just stay simple and go with the kappa 6.5s although, I think they are the components where you have to mount a separate tweeter, don't know if you're installing this yourself or not but it is a bit more work. Not trying to confuse you lol. To recap Sony is a poorly made speaker basically any speaker will work off HU power, and you may see little to no improvement in sound quality if you're speakers aren't power appropriately. I.E. 4 chan amp. Feel like i may be confusing you but feel free to ask

i think sony 6x9's are fine... are they top quality, hell no, do they get pretty loud off 50 rms each... sure do. only problem for me was that the voicecoil connector thing came off, so they may be poorly built but they can certainly do the job if you arent an enthusiast

Honestly, when I do something, I do it right. So I want to make sure this will be a good setup for casual listening. I'm not trying to win any contests or anything.

What 6.5" speakers would be best paired with the 4x6 Kappas? I couldn't find a 6.5" Kappa, so I'm kinda stuck.

Also, been looking at amps, the 600w Pioneer GM-6400F has been looking pretty sufficient. (Amazon.com: Pioneer GM-6400F 600-Watt, 4-Channel Power Amplifier: Car Electronics)

Would this take two 4x6 2ohms AND the two 6.5" speakers I havent found yet?

yup that would power your speakers just fine might wanna find out what voltage the preouts on your HU give out...determines the signal strength meaning lower gains and lower chance for distortion. Low end HUs do around 2v preouts higher end will bout out 4-5v. And as far as the speakers go any speakers will go with those kappas I would recommend image dynamic components but those are real high end components it all depends on what you wanna spend and how much power you're putting to them. With that amp your gonna be goin 60W at 4 ohm and 75W at 2 ohm try to match the speakers to that rating

Kappa's dont sound bad and the best part is they come with a 3 year warranty. stay away from pioneer amps , they ****.

man, theyll do the job. Some people are picky about theyre highs. i have a pionner gm that puts out 50 rms per channel at 4 ohms. It makes my alpine type s's loud enough for me. Only thing is theres no high pass filter frequency adjusting. its just either hpf or lpf

The pioneer seems to check out ok from what i can see... low THD probably pretty efficient I don't really see a problem except alot of people here have complaints about their HUs dunno if it relates...

isnt it mostly for the pico fuse or "whine" the HU's produce at some point?
