i work for fedex as a package handler and i load smaller trucks(not the semi's) but the ones w/ shevles and whatnot.

really what it all boils down too is how much of a stickler the company is on their employees about handling boxes, and how well their employees are treated(i.e. benifits, pay, etc etc.)

but i myself always try to handle them 'gently' especially if i know they are electronics or soemthing of that nature.

I've found the best bet is that when your shipping anyhting important,expensive etc, is to make sure its packed properly and take pictures before you drop it off of both the inside and outside of the box. Also, if a box comes damaged or looks dented, DONT accept it. Period. I've had my fair share claims with UPS and havent lost one yet. Actually made a few extra bucks on a couple.

When I recieved my perfect vq 12.1d, I just pointed out to the ups guy that this package looks really beat up, so he asked me if he should mark it as crushed I obviously said yes. Luckily there was no damage to the sub. When you sign and get a damaged package, I would ask the ups guy to mark you package as crushed.

Honestly, i used to be all-for them, until i got my SSX.

when i got it, the basket was broken in 2 places, looked like it had been dropped.

I filed a claim with them, it has now been 2 MONTHS, and NOTHING has happened, despite numerous phone calls to them.

They said I'd be lucky to get $100.

F*CK UPS!
