The Wall *Worklog w Pics*

the front baffle.

Its double baffled, and i broke my jigsaw trying to make it. Awesome nonetheless

Another test fit of the top

82Toptestfit.jpg

I probably did more testing than anything, the whole time keeping the big picture in mind......its ugly as all hell, but its gonna be **** loud.

A night shot of the side..

something i advise that you never ever ever do

Put the top piece in without screws.

83Angledtopisin.jpg

not the top, but the angles top. I was under the impression, that glue would hold it here. boy, oh boy i was wrong. I had to sut the top at a 30 degree angle, and it was deinately the most difficult part, and it took near 4 hours to get it cut right. I would have to say again, that it as the most difficult part. I was able to squeeze a bit more airspace.....which is always a good thing.

thats a test just to make sure they fit. they fit.

gotta love spare baskets

and another angle of the test fit..

85doubledup.jpg

A double test fit

really making use of those spare baskets. Wishing i had spare 12 baskets too.

the one on the right, it looks like it doesnt fit......thats because it didnt, but it did after sanding down the ring a bit.

88testfits.jpg

Yet another angle of the fitting.

89DoubleBaffledPort.jpg

Here is a decent shot of the port. Port is Double baffled. I actually connected the double port baffle to the double front baffle, before i doubled the front up. that ay i didnt have to screw through 2 baffles, and expect enough of the screw to get inside the port baffle, to actually hold the two together.

another angle

Night shots of the side again. I took lots of pics of the side for whatever reason

and the moneyshot.

93frontinnotscrewedandglued.jpg

thats both baffles, and both ports, sitting in the box, but not attached in any way. I actually screwed screws through the box from the inside, at the top of where the port would "sit", in an attempt to add "runner" lines for the port, since i did the project solo, i neded as much help as i could get, and that worked out quite well.

Another money shot

Another thing that i did not photograph, was the brace, that runs right up the middle of the front baffle. It was somewhat difficult, to conjur, but once i got everything sorted out, it was rather easy. In the end, it was more like a capital I i created the brace, and screwed it to the top, and the port, both from the inside. No noticable flex in the front, due to this.

96fromoutside.jpg

I think you can see the brace in that one. lol, in order to get the whole front/port/brace piece attached, i had to Kick that bish in there. literally, i had my back against the dash board on one side, and the steering wheel on the other, and kicked it until it was in.

this thing is glued, screwed and bolted in now. forgot to get pics of the bolts, but there is about half a bottle of glue, lots of liquid nails, and about 100 screws holding the box to the dancefloor, as well as some additional bracing that will be added the next time i remove the subs.

Gets messy back here, but everything ended up nice an sealed.

100moreofthesame.jpg

see the parts where it is touching the metal?

it makes a dang creaking noise while i drive and it too **** annoying, point being, its the onle mistake i made. I didnt cut enough of the back deck out.

sok though, Soon wnough, i will have a dremel to get the rest out. I just cant reach it with an angle gringer, without cuttong about another 3-4 inches out on each side, and thats not necessary.

thats how it sits, but this is before the beauty panel.........

That is insane. Keep up the good work //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

This is what I should do with my sister's brand new car since she thought her Bazooka 10 from a few years ago was loud, lol

These are just fun shots, but this is my roommate, and he is 6'1"

I should have gotten better pics of the **** template for the cardboard. I made the beauty board template of a bunch of small cut to fit pieces of cardboard, tapes together, making one big *** janky piece of cardboard....but hey, it worked.......a lot.

109-thecardboardtemplate.jpg

You **** at jigsawing...lolI think you should keep the cardboard there so it looks like the enclosure is actually cardboard

hahahaaahaha i know, but my router was the victim, of sparks after the switch broke, so you work with what i got.

cut the beauty baffle with a jigsaw, an it came out jus fine........
