The W7: Ported or Sealed?

I'm looking at a 12"W7 to put in my hatch. I want heavy spl BUT sq is just as important for my kind of music. Should I use a ported or sealed box? I need to make it a bit stealthy so does the SHAPE of the box and port matter or just the volume?

to achieve what you are wanting, you will probably want the smaller w7 and a lower tuned vented enclosure. shape will not make as much difference as volume and tuning.

Its been said many times, but ill say it again. Go ported. My friend had 2 13w7s ported and they sounded unbelievable even at full tilt, and flexed the shit out of his explorer.

But, I would try both, if you can spare the cash for the extra sheet of wood. Just see which you like more.

I tried the sealed route once, but it requires too much cone area (I have not heard a sealed setup that reaches the lows well)
