I've slowly been working on my enclosure for four 15" RE SE D4's... Now I'm trying to decide the power source for them... They will be wired to 2 ohms, in a 15 cubic foot box tuned around 32Hz... I've got my eye on the Hifonics BXi 2610D, but I hear alot of bad talk about them... Just need to get a few suggestions...

If it's wired to 2 ohms....they'll only be getting 1700 watts. The amp is good, it'll do it's rated and won't let you down. But for those subs, you need around 2400 watts to get them to move, maybe even closer to 2700-3000.

What's your budget?

i have a bxi1606d and it did me good. I would say buy another and strap them at 2 ohms. may be your cheapest option. as davecubs14 said, your budget would help us out though.

Yea, alot of bad thing's go around about that amp but there are alot of even better comment's about it too. The amp is a little over rated but for the price you pay it's a great amp. But you need power at 2ohm's so that amp is far from what you would want. I would suggest trying to find a Kicker 2500.1 in good shape, Audioque 3500, or maybe a pair of Audioque 1200s. You could also look into the SAE1200D's that are on ebay right now for $200 plus shipping I believe they end up being 225 shipped if they are still up.

Well, I'd like to try to get out for under $500. I looked at the ZX2500.1 and I'd love to get one, but its double the price of the hifonics. I figured with big 3 done and an extra optima in the back would let me run close to the 1700 rms it says it does. And maybe later down the line add another.

Everyone seems to love the Sundown amps, but what will they do RMS at 2 ohms? Would it be okay to run a 1 ohm stable amp at 2 ohm load daily? And to run .5 ohm load daily I'd have to have a pretty beefed electrical system right?
