does anybody know of a good plate amp around 200RMS at 2 ohm? Do you think a plate amp would be ok running at 2 ohms if it's rated at 4? Just curious how stable plate amps are at lower impedance.

There was a guy that ran his Dayton 70w plate amp at 2 ohms. He said it got hot but it never went out on him.

Tested the subs out. In the van they were nice and loud. You probably couldnt have a conversation over them. They shook the mirrors and rattled shit like hell. Ill get a vid up soon. I played DJ Billy E and Gorillaz-Feel good Inc. both were plenty loud and sounded pretty good doing it. It was in 2 cubes at 35 htz. Gain was set by ear.

lol i have a pair of D2s sittin here playing freeair in front of me... and all I can say is lol.

These things are so cheap and generic that it's crackin me up. The cone is notched to accomodate different VC sizes. There is excess glue out the ***. There was even some splattered on the spider on one of mine. One is bottoming out, one isn't, even though they're wired in series on the same 50w amp...

I hope these shits clean up when I box em. because right now, they're a joke.
