The "new" lil wayne is not good

I'm sure this thread is chock full of Wayne haters who listen to rap about "untold souls on abandoned sea scrolls", but, there's one thing both Wayne fans and haters can agree on,

Carter III sucks. Horrendously.

i disagree. its not his best album of the three (tha carter 2), but look at the hit lollipop and a milli. they were hits big time. you can't go anywhere without hearing those songs.

a milli a milli....my grill be poutin!!! im a murderrrrrerrrr so i murdered it! lolzzzz....i like some of his rhymes.

alot of them make no sence but he has some of the best punchlines you hear

Hit Me Baby One More Time was also a big hit that you heard everywhere.
Do you honestly like Lollipop?
Ya I did. I burned it on a CD and listened to it in my truck.

I'm just saying that hits sometimes make an album. A lot of people go and buy albums based on the singles that they hear.

nothing to do with this thread. I want to take that truck muddin
yea i know im ready to finish it and take it myself....and yea it does have something to do with this thread. I was expressing my opinion about his talent just as the other 85% of the post

Not saying it doesn't, and I'm not dissappointed in the fact that he wants to go more mainstream and sell more records, more power to him.

The Carter III however, is not a Lil Wayne album. Not at all. It is a huge letdown to his true fans, even though after Lollipop it was expected, but not quite this badly.

i agree. this isnt the lil wayne. he's become different than his traditional style. this may be an experimental album or something. but he should definitely stick with the straight flow he's had in his other albums. its worked so far for him

If you think Lil Wayne is a good rapper, you're a dumbass. Seriously, take a look at T.I.'s stuff... he may be more "mainstream," but come on, just look at the content.

Listen to the Lollipop remix - compare Kanye's verse to Wayne's verses. Holy shit, Wayne's last verse doesn't even make sense... he total fails at "word play" compared to Kanye.

Wayne hater since '00.

I can't stand rap anymore but will be honest that I am/was a Lil Wayne fan since da block is hot/drop it like it's hot....

The Carter is one of my fav albums (go Dj, bring it back, etc...) but the Carter 2 sucked and this album sucks from what I've been able to hear online.

Nas and Jay were only good on their 1st albums. Same can be said for almost all other rappers (DMX, Ja Rule) that they fall off after the 1st album.

can someone give me a link to the actual album so i can take a listen? or a download w/e //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Are you old enough to remember Ice Ice Baby?

I never listen to the radio. I know shit when I hear it, and the Carter 3 is real close to shit. Production saved it. If another artist had that same production on that album it would be better. Give Kweli or even Ghost that same production and that shit would have been magic. Or maybe I just hate the sound of that rat looking bastarrds voice......

A real artist should take them same tracks like he be doing and show him how it's done. He tried and he failed.
