the whole cd just doenst seem like lil wayne, or atleast lil wayne in the original Carter....maybe 3 songs on the whole cd are worth listening too....

just too much of him talking abut how great he is...yet he failed to deliver a good album

Lil Wayne in my opinion is garbage. I like maybe 2 of his songs.... Someone must like him though or his leaked album wouldn't be everywhere. Him and Plies, can't stand Plies either, both of them mumble the whole time they try to rap....and wtf is a bussit baby?

lil wayne does nothing more than being repetitive. In almost all his music, he says the same sh!t. If you get lucky, he will throw in a different term that means the same thing. Different beat, same lyrics....

Lil Wayne will always be garbage because he doesn't even have to try.. he just spits nonsense and people love it for some stupid reason.

I believe he is so populer because most people don't listen to the lyrics as a whole. Most people derive more enjoyment out of a song if the beat is catchy (wayne does make catchy beats), if the artist's voice sounds good or is unique (wayne has a very unique voice), and finally people like catchy or funny lyrics, usually one-liners they can laugh about with their friends (wayne has some funny lines in his songs).

I find it interesing that you think wayne mumbles. To my ears, he annunciates MUCH better than most of the rap artists in my musical collection. I can actually understand every word in his songs, most rap music makes me look up the lyrics to figure out what the he11 is going on.

I never jumped on the Lil Wayne bandwagon because I bought his first 2 cds and they both sucked so I never gave him another chance. He has a few good songs here and there but I actually thought this last album was his best yet. Shoot me down and Lollipop are badass songs. I'm sick of everyone using that **** t-pain voice now though. By the way does anyone know where I can get the Lollipop version that has the guitar in it like on the video? I've downloaded 3 different versions but they down have that guitar in the beat like the video does.

You're right, Wayne's isn't really a mumble, it's just a different sound that I don't really like. Plies on the other hand is kind of a mumble/words running together sound. I just don't understand what all of the hype is about with Lil Wayne. I agree with you guys about the catchy beats. I would listen to a lot of his songs with the lyrics removed and just the beat playing.

I enjoy songs with a good beat and lyrics though. Give me some Nas, old school Tupac, Dre, Snoop or anything like that over The Carter 3 any day.
