The "new" lil wayne is not good

i also agree on the whole lil wayne sucks train. Idk why like the United States has such a boner over the dude, i thing his stuff sucks, and he can hardly rhyme. I dont like that that many newer rappers, but jeezy is up there between anyone i think.... Wayne just says crap that half the time makes no sense to me, and its not even good and hes always taking other peoples sections of their songs and trying to put them down them for it... but hes using it?

Im more into,

2pac, notorious, older nas - listen to God's Son (which was jsut mediocore in my mind) and before, check out NY state of mind pt 1, its fire. i like dr. dre, older eminem, Wu-Tang in the 90's, lsiten to bring the ruckus and wu-tang aint nuthin ta f*ck with, check out IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE, dance with the devil, obnoxious are 2 of his good songs if u wanna hear insane rhymes, he might be the best i have ever heard. Idk i just like older rap, Eazy-E and Mobb Deep's original crap

The album Nas did before nastradamus was the shit and so was Illmatic. A lot of people are forgetting other good shit that came out back in the day like Snoop/Dre, Bone Thugs, Kurupt, DMX's first 2 or 3 albums, Jay-Z's older stuff is better than the new stuff he's done, Brotha Lynch, Ice Cube, Three 6, Master P, and Scarface....If I hear another rap dance song, I'm going to ****in' shoot myself in the head!
master ****in p?!

makem say unhnhnn:wow:

change that out with busta rhymes or outkast

then dead prez a couple years later.

"lets get free" strange for a white guy to say, but one fantastic album.

I can't stand rap anymore but will be honest that I am/was a Lil Wayne fan since da block is hot/drop it like it's hot....
The Carter is one of my fav albums (go Dj, bring it back, etc...) but the Carter 2 sucked and this album sucks from what I've been able to hear online.

Nas and Jay were only good on their 1st albums. Same can be said for almost all other rappers (DMX, Ja Rule) that they fall off after the 1st album.
Dude DMX sucked from day 1. Know that. All his albums are the same. 1 style. Loved him in Belly tho.

Nas and Jay Z had their share of shit (that one with hard knock life, I am) but they set the bar so high out the gate, they will never match that.

Same with college dropout, first eryka Badu album, first Goodie Mob, etc.

But I get it though. His music appeals to a group of kids that wear doo rags and rubber band cuffed pants and big *** fitted caps. the 14 year old weed/black & mild crowd. No respecting rap fan that grew up on Rakim and KRS-ONE will say the carter 3 is even playable.

i put this up against the whole lil wayne discography http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWeG39SmN08

The album that Nas will leave untitled with be what is missing in hip hop............. I already heard a track.

I don't think I've heard many of his mixtape songs but I think the Carter 3 was better than the first 2. I'll stick with Eminem, Royce Da 5'9, Tech N9ne, Lupe Fiasco, and Kanye West for now.
are you serious or being sarcastic?

this album doesnt touch The Carter 2, and not even in the same ball park or The Carter

but yu should really check out his early stuff, before the Carter...good stuff IMO

I should really let this thread die but Ghetto D was an awesome album and you can't tell me No Limit wasn't at the top of their game back then. Silkk the shocker I always thought was better than Master P though and I never liked anyone else on No Limit. Busta Rhymes Extinction Level Event was one of my favs at the time too.

Well I've just heard clips from cdnow from the carter 1 and 2 so I haven't really had a real good listen to them. I haven't bothered listening to Lil Wayne for a really long time so his stuff is kinda new to me again and I thought some of the production on his new album was pretty good. I hate his **** voice though.

you should listen to atleast The Carter and his mixtapes before that... You will be able to tell a huge difference

Seriously, listening to the album about 3 times over in the last couple days commuting.....I really like Dr. Carter....it's really different from what I've heard.

3peat has some badass bass, other then that...eh.

It's alright, but nothing special at all....and none of the songs are really bangers that you can listen to a lot.

well, i just got it today. Most of the songs have an old school beat similar to most jay-z albums i have heard recently. The Songs that dont sound really good and have some badass lyrics and style without being overly "club hiphop" Most of which have been mentioned as being the better songs.

as a side note, i nkow nothing about producting or anything, but i think Jay-z might have had something to do with this album.
