Hey so my problem is that in the past after I installed my setup, the car would on random days not start up. To me if felt like the days it wouldnt start would be after the day I slap a few songs really loud. That problem isnt happening anymore and idk why it stopped but now the new problem is that the amp wont turn off. I noticed a solution that worked on both of these is if I went to the fuse and jiggled the power cable connected to it. It would make a spark then boom everything works... If anyone knows what could be wrong all help would be appreciated!

A few details about my setup:

I own a 2003 BMW 325I

My amp is a cadence F700(800rms 1600max)

My subs are 2 kicker CVR 12s(800rms 1600max combined)(I know theres some anti kicker people out there but for the time being I cant put money towards any other sub)

If you need anymore info to help with this problem let me know! Thanks guys!

wait so the amplifier wont turn off, you jiggle the power cable, there is a spark and everything works.. as in the amp shuts off?
Noooo before this the car would NOT start.. I jiggle the power wire and right by the fuse it would spark then the car would start

Same concept with the amp.. Amp wont turn on.. I turn off the car jiggle the wire near the fuse hear a spark turn back on the car and the amp will work

I would jiggle your power wire and drive your car directly to a car audio shop

Is it that bad? The car not starting up was probably happening like 6 months ago but this whole amp not turning on is new..

If the amp isnt turning on, I would first check the fuse on your power wire, check the run of your power wire, make sure it hasnt been punctured or cut, check your ground wire make sure it is properly grounded, then check the turn on wire for the amplifier, and make sure its hooked up to the back of your stereo properly and make sure it is ran through the car correctly, without any cuts or punctures

See this is exactly where im stumpted... Fuse is not blown, Power Wire is in perfect condition, I grounded it on the same bollt as the batteries ground(since the batterys in the trunk) The remote wire I would think has nothing to do with it but I checked it and its fine(I used a LOC just to clarify)

The sparking issue /hearing is most deff. a bad connection, and needs to be Repaired, and as for grounding the amp to the Car batt,I would have not done so.I feel that any amp, should be /have its own dedicated ground.I would also like to see pics of said sparking connection/jiggle connection that seems to work at times.Your power wire could possibly be ok, and sparks when jiggled due to a poor ground/or just bad connections period of either.Id redo/check all connections..something is loose/or a **** poor grounding point..just my 0.02cents

Grounds don't get any better than directly to the battery.

Op, you may need to upgrade the wiring that leads from that rear batt, to the alt. The power wire, battery ground to chassis, and alternator ground to chassis may(definitely should, in my opinion) all need to be upgraded.

I thought that the power wire had a bad connection to the fuse also so I re did it about a month back and made it as secure as I can.
