l7's unless you aren't down with the square/goth look of kickers current gear. I don't understand why everybody is on Alpines type-r jock. They are probably great speakers, but I can't belive they can live up to the never-ending hype

I've experienced both...the hype r is garbage compared to the l7...but the l7 is garbage compared to a XXX....it's all opinion

any sub can get loud...it's a lot of install...

if you like spl get the l7

"l7 is garbage compared to the xxx..." Honestly how does that make sense... Thats as pointless as this thread is considering the Type R is a SQL woofer and the L7 is an SPL woofer. And you XXX is a SQL woofer too.... Just can't compare them unless ur asking in terms of what, otherwise everybodys gonna give different answers.

SPL - L7 > Type R

SQL - Typer R > L7

I personally go with the type r myself, because i have one, but that is the only reason, i dont like the look of the l7 myself

I have a kicker thread because i simply wanted to know something...which would be louder...the 2 type r's or the one kicker. obviously if this board wasn't filled with smartasses then this would all be easy.
