The Official Type R Thread

I guess that what it comes down to is that no one person's test should be stated as "THE" test. Everyone's results will differ.

You never explained how you thought going from 15's to 10's would reverse the outcome/efficiency, and so drasitcally. Seriously Id like to know how you think this could happen.

Would a 2005 Type R be a step up from a 2005 Kicker CVR?
Or would my $100-$150 be better spent on another CVR or a better sub?

Look at the coil size and venting for both subs you asked then you have the answer....

the keflar cone is better for sq mmmmmmm pulp cones by alpine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

so the same motor and half the cone will act exactly the same?

I can tell you don't do SPL //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Hell, Tommy could drop a 9910 in his car and be down from the Type R....should that mean anything to everyone else out there?

No. I could take a frickin 10" Audiobung and be up 3db over the Alpine...does that mean anything? No. It means that the 10" Audiobling is louder in MY APPLICATION.

The key to SPL is not using what so and so said was the loudest, it's finding what works best IN YOUR APPLICATION.
