149 in driveby, im sure its possible.. but not with ANYTHING you could drive everyday (within reason).

152 in the port isnt even that loud - lol.

so i got a question, whats a goood setup other than mine and your 150 db setups would be ideal for daily setups. what kinda amps you runnnin, i have 2 1000ds on my setup with an upgraded alt. what are your boxes lookin like?

give me a pickup, 12 15's, 3000 watts to each... I'll throw the woofs in the bed and build something to direct the sound straight @ the meter.

but yea... your not even doin a 130 in driveby with anything short of a straight SPL setup... most cars on the street wont even do a 115.

id say the L7's. YES i do own them and back them 100% tho. But the factor its going to boil down to is your install. You can do a huge box with a good port tuning and get great results with either. I like the alpines but it depends what you will want out of it. SPL or SQ. well i think comparing 4 12's to 2 12's is not that great of a comparison. Its going to be pretty obvious that with a great install on both, the 4 type r's will take it. But in a big box l7's are LOUD.
