I would start off the TI's sealed, just because I like the way they sounded, but I would eventually have to port them just to see what they could do.
I have 2 amps, so I have to do 2, or 4. But you dont think they would sound good sealed (the R's?)

I wouldnt recommend them sealed. They definitely like to be ported, and tuned low. Kinda like the SX's.

daaaaaaaamn, aight, ouch that hurts because that would have been louder (if they liked sealed) and 1/2 the price. Oh well, ill wait for the TI's

My friend wants to buy one type-r in a custom ported enclosure. I have not yet measured his trunk but i will soon. It will be in a Scion TC.

What kind of amp should he get to power one type-r in a ported enclosure?

Going to be building a system for a buddy and I think i'll tell him to go with the 12" type-r's, what would you guys recommend for tuning/box size/wattage for sq-sql. Keep in mind that he doesnt know a whole lot about car audio so ridiculously large amounts of power may not be a good idea, just something good for daily driving that he won't **** up.

Curious.. this one is for the people who actually put the Type R's to the limit daily..

How much will a 12" Type R handle AT MOST daily? I need to know.. I just built a 2cuft ported box @ 36 hz.. and I want to feed it all it will hunger for!

for 1 12" ? I wouldn't think so.. moe lester drew me up the plans.. i think alpine recommends alot smaller for ported.. like 1.25cuft or maybe 1.75 i forget

OK guys, Help me out here. Can I port 4 12" type R's with like 9 cubes....mayyyyybe 10 if I fiberglass my wheel well..... I really want to get 4 12's now for half the price of the 2 15" TI's I might end up getting. Can I make this work?? Whats the smallest ported YOU GUYS would reccommend. They would get 6-700watts each.
