The X actually only handles a little more RMS power, but it handles much less for a burp/short period of time. The X will handle the amp fine, but it will do nothing with that power.

600 itd sound good, i was sending them 850 off the mrd-m1005 wired at 1ohm and my whole car was flexing

The Alpine amp, it has digital gains... but they jump from point to point, like .1 .2 .3 .4 .5 1.5 2 2.5... etc...

WE KNOW ITS SUPPOSED TO MATCH YOUR DECK OUTPUT

But I dont think this is how thier numbering works, for the simple fact that my output on my deck is 8v, and when I put the amp to 8, it dont even move the sub. When I had it on .3 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif hahaha with the Type R, it beat the living hell out of it... and now I have a temp RF HX2 in there, and it pounds like hell when I have it on 1.5 even, which isnt clipping.

The Type R is just amazing sounding, im addicted to that bass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif This HX2, is gets loud as heck, but man can you tell how dirty it is, compared to the type r.

if you get a d2 itll sound great, i was easily into 140's with it, d4 idk never had a single sub w/600w on it the amp will run fine at 1ohm i did it for about a month and a half before i got the viper and it took it like a champ...

What you have the gains at on that setup?

I ran an old Alpine that wasnt 1ohm rated for 2 years and never had it overheat or anything before.
