The most wattage you've thrown at a set of comps where they lived to tell the story

a lot of people on here were throwing 200rms per side on the PG RSD's and said they sounded pretty good....
Was sending 200 watts a side to mine on my active setup until i had so much trouble with the tweeters, doubt it was because of the power and more of a manufacturer deal since they sucked form the beginning but on my new set I'm sending about 70 watts to my tweeters and 100 watts to my mids and they sound good to my hear. Keep in mind that the only other comp sets I've heard have been stock sets with the scion TC and cobalt SS and then some crazy setups at Car shows. However I still think mine sound pretty decent except for some annoying resonances at ~110hz in my frame which I won't take care of until i have enough money to spare to put some damplifier pro in my doors.

I was putting around 550 to my old Boston Z6's and they LOVED it. Probably could've given them more....
Those speakers are power hungry monsters. An employee at my local tweeter (now closed) had them running off a TXA-6004. He said they were at "full power". I dont know what that ment but to that amp im assumeing it was 600W per side.

i have a pair of old school zed amps on my components. 200x2 on the mids, 150x2 on the tweets, and the amps are quite underrated. i'm only giving my tweets about half that, but i've got the gains set for 200 per side on my mids.

I know a guy that was running an ms1000 on his L3's and L6's, and a Sundown 100.2 for his L1's. Guess it sounded pretty good. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

200 per corner from a PG Xenon 200.4 to a pr. of Xenon 6.5 components and a pr. of MOMO 6x9's. Also have an 8v line driver and 6 bad parametric eq in front of the amp.

Only issues I had is the original in line crossovers from Polk didn't like haveing more than the 100w they said it would take. Hooked them up to a PG crossover and has worked just fine.

I run my Boston Pro60s active.

300 watts each to the mids off of a JL HD600/4 bridged.

75-ish watts each to the tweets off of two channels of another HD600/4.

Even with the crossover point set to 71 hz for the mids, I can jam them HARD and they never complain, never smell, and they sound amazing.

As for why so much power? I run two 15s, and I don't like my music lopsided to where all you hear is bass. It's retarded loud all the way around. I rarely listen to it at full tilt, but it's nice to do so when I'm in the mood.
