I think you people need to expect that this is not going to change for a while. I speak english, and only english, but am learning german so that I can enjoy my trip there eventually. How many of you people have gone to the bahamas, or anywhere where english is not the native tounge? There is a double standard held that needs to go away. Americans are not king of the world, and english is not the language the world has chosen. Get over it, learn enough spanish to get by, and enjoy being a minority

I agree with Tony. Couldnt have said it better. There is no excuse, to live in a country, and not know their language. I wouldnt expect to get anywhere either. You can have your own opinion... but ill tell you thats wrong. It makes no sense at all. I shouldnt be required to take spanish courses this year. I should be required to take english courses. You know why? THIS IS AMERICA.

I guess its human nature to have something to complain about throughout your day.....

I have a job too thank you. I work at target for the time being until I quit to go to college (Pre-Med major). I have made mistakes at work but I take the proper measures to have them fixed. If I don't know what to do I contact a manager and they'll help me fix the problem. Even with spanish speaking guests if they don't know any english I find someone to translate. If she would have calculated the correct change I wouldn't have cared if she gave it to me in spanish, french, german, or swahili. But her attitude towards me was horrible the huffing and puffing and then saying it's 25 cents OR WHATEVER just made me mad. Thats not trying to make a living thats being **** lazy. All my car audio stuff I have bought myself through working my @$$ off all summer long. What do you do for a living whookid? I have no problem whatsoever with anyone who speaks another language I actually admire people who can speak two or three languages fluently but english is still what a majority of americans of any color speak so it would be nice to learn the language. If I was moving to Europe, Mexico, etc. I would learn the native language you'd have to to get by at least I would assume so I guess its not a requirement for Mc D's.

i have much respect for people who do move over and try hard to learn english and make a good living. but when you behave like you are in your own country, act rude, and take advantage of the rights America extends, GET THE F.UCK OUT

i disagree with the notion people put forth that americans who travel abroad are all arrogant assholes. thats something spoken from the mouth of ignorant idiots.

visit china or watch chinese television. there are plenty of americans speaking fluent chinese, eating chinese food, and getting along great with the chinese community. do you see white peopel sitting outside waiting for work or working in restaurants/stores yelling NO SPEAK CHINESE at customers? i think if that were the case the chinese would be outraged. im surprised how well we are taking this in america
