The Kicker ZX750.1

Then why does it keep turning off?
reading > me

didnt see the amp was going into protect.

if the amp is going into protect, then yea, your gonna need to get different impedance subs. same shit happened with my kx2500.1. itll take a 1.4 ohm load, but will go into protect at high volumes off a .7 ohm load, until you back off the volume.

Yes, mine are DVC 4 ohm subs(4ohms a piece).............so this is what I have gathered:::::I can either stick with these and how they are parallel wired(which I think is giving a 1ohm load) I just have to be careful and set my gains properly.......on the other hand-YES I really do need some DVC 2 ohm CVR's and everything would be a lot smoother????? Am I on the right path? Also, thank you guys for your help, I really appreciate it. Ya know....it's funny I was sitting in my driveway for about the last 20 minutes bumpin' it with the gain only turned up like 1/5 of the way and they didn't shut off and they sounded GOOD.....I'm so confused
Well then if that works keep it like that. Since your ohm load is low (even it if rises up to a safe zone through impedance rise) turning the gain up will be even more detrimental to that amp. So keep the gain low, keep those subs and enjoy it.

But he doesn't have any more money. He jumped the gun and bought those. Can the amp be run safely (not with respect to warranty or anything like that) at 1 ohm daily?

I had mine wired to 1 ohm. I just set the gains with a DMM and I was fine at any volume.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif But yes, you need a different coil config to wire to 2 ohm.

btw, just because it worked for me, doesnt mean it will with you. user descretion is advised. :p

Hey Mitch.....you're saying you had the same setup as mine and ran it at 1 ohm daily with no problems at any volume?????? By the way.....what is a DMM???? And where could I get one?

Thanks Polecat...............know anyone who wants some practically brand new CVR 12's (4ohm)???? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
