what about the differences in subs... if a box isn't built for the sub specifically it won't perform optimally... and how will you compare these? just throw up numbers? say there are 3 subs

sub 1

sub 2

sub 3

bassrace 40hz

sub 1 wins sub 2 second sub 3 third

Bassrace 42hz

sub 2 wins sub1 second sub 3 third

what do you get from that? sub 3 doesn't perform aswell at 40hz and 42 as the others? maybe or maybe it just doesn't perform aswell as the others in the size of the enclosure..

I would have to agree with the companies who didn't want to "compete" maybe the boxes you build are like perfect for one of the subs.. it will come out on top most likely..

im using three boxes that are very generic sizes, between the three boxes per sub they should perform more then optimally on one. Obviously this is an unavoidable variable but I am attacking it as best as possible.

i understand that but what are you trying to show? that this sub will perform better at a certain freq than it would another? or comparing subs against each other?

Good luck with this one. One piece of advice, when the tests are done and you have to get subs back to their respective owners, please do so.

I know most of the company owners, im a good person with a huge repuation here, im not out to get anything from anyone. Ive done business with over 100 members, think thats enough to let me borrow a few subs, specially cause Ive tested several subs before

I think everyone does, but there is new subs and technology out and lots of companies who didnt even get to participate thats why this is going on now.
