time yes,,,, money not as much, one sub will pay for is work he has to put in,,no affecnce to matt but i dont like some of the things he comes up with, he will just sell most of the subs over time to ppl becuse he cant put 20 mixed matched subs in a ride, and over is caraudioclassified.com as i recall it the memebers dam near payed at lease haft for the term lab,, so baseically he just sucks money out of every one in my opion
I paid near $500 out of my own pocket for the TL, i was taking donations but really just had Steve from RD and Spy from Spy designs put in. So I take it pretty offensivly that you think im ******* money outta people. I offer some great deals on all the sites I am on, every year I have 70+ Stinger batteries I sell way way way way below cost.
and i saw the the subs you recive will pay for mdf and gass, i dont see 10 + subs if sold over time, add ing to a few hundred in bills and the time it takes to test,, shouldent be counted you should be doing it on free time,, if you state that the subs will pay for 2 weeks of testing that refers to you only doing it to make a Buck.!
I understand where your coming from, now let me show you where im coming from.
20 subs, 9 boxes, 3 test in each box.
Lets just figure an hour to get each sub in each box and run all three tests.
20x9 = 180 hours
I know it sounds ridiclous but this includes watching the O-scope and clamp so I can adjust the gains to make the test as even as possible. Its not a simple two second task.
This is a long job and a pain in the *** to be frank, but I offered up to do this because I am here to help to car audio community. I have never ripped anyone off, I have helped tons of people and have tons of friends here. Im kinda shocked to hear this from you specially after we have talked on the phone several times.
Also just so people get an idea. Only two companies have allowed to keep onto the subs at this point, three of the
4 or 5 subs will be going to pay the box builders as they are putting there money and time on this also. this is taking 18 pieces of MDF sheet to make the 9 boxes. That leaves me with a sub or two for my estimated 180hours of time put into this.
Btw for people who know me, i work two full time jobs over summer at $15/$20 an hour.
1350+1800= $2150 thats what I would make before taxes at my places of work.
I guarentee you no matter which sub/s I held on to it would not pay for that or anything close to that.
Yeah I dont really understand why you are keeping the subs after it is over? And talking about selling them even before the test has begun? Sounds pretty **** tacky.
Some companies understand how much time and effort this takes from me and this is their way of contributing to it.
How about this I will make you a deal. Build 9 double layered boxes, get an O-scope, TL, DMM, and Fluke Clamp. I will send you 5 free subs if you do two weeks of testing on it. I want all writen up results in excel format, multiple threads, pictures, videos, and up to date progress emailed to me. If you can meet those requirements and feel its worth a few hundred bucks worth of subs, then I applaud you but realistically I hope you can see where I am coming from.
I pay out my dues, I have helped tons and tons of people out, I honestly dont care if I make a dime off of this, as long as I can cover all my costs, this is an experiment that I seek results from, and that is what i plan to get.
