- groom and dress yourself properly, even an ugly motherfucker can look like a million bucks if he's got a nice (not $10) haircut and a pair of jeans that fit.

- quit smoking, right now.

- put at least 10% of every paycheck you get into some form of retirement fund (I think they're called IRAs in the states)
