trueCould just buy an Alpine type R 15 and call it a day. Its a good noob sub, they take alot of abuse.
Good choice. Thanks for the idea, even though I am pretty noobish when it comes to this stuff I appreciate the better quality; so I will shoot for the DC level 4
Level 4 > Type RQuality? There is definately nothing wrong with an Alpine R, in fact they've been making subs for a couple of years now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Click the thanks button. You guys are the bomb diggities! All of this is so helpful thanks!
Because DC's have 12 spoke baskets or something? or do the alpines not have numerous SPL records in the lanes? Or because they're both made in china? I'd just like to know what the logic is behind that or is this just a fanboy remark?Level 4 > Type R
Do you really think the DC Level 4 isn't up to snuff in comparison to the Type R? The DC is hand assembled, performs nicely, can be reconed and/or modified when needed and is backed by a person rather than a gigantic corporation. That last thing may not make a difference to you, but it means quite a bit to me. And just for the record, I didn't bash the Type R in any way. I simply said the DC Level 4 is a better sub. If you disagree, that's fine.Because DC's have 12 spoke baskets or something? or do the alpines not have numerous SPL records in the lanes? Or because they're both made in china? Im not trying to be a dick, i'm serious.
