Holy cow! That took a while. I THINK I found a 3.5mm 4 pole to RCA spdif coaxial cable that I can use so I ordered it. Couple other reviewers said it worked with the FiiO M11 and M11 Plus. Should work with my M11S. I ordered a 16ft length. Fingers crossed that it's enough.

Currently transferring thousands of pictures from my phone to my PC. Free up some storage on my phones micro SD card so I can put some more HiRes audio on it. My phone is required for my job at the moment but while I am using the apps we need for the job I can still use the Black Player app I have to play HiRes audio. So, transferring until I have more space.

UGGGHHHHH!!!! I bought a new upstream O2 sensor for the 2.4L... It's time for a new one. While I am in there I am going to soak the CAT with a foaming DPF/CAT cleaner. Tore into it today and wouldn't you know it, the O2 sensor will not budge. SO, on my next day off I am heading to the storage unit where my tools are, busting out my cordless 1/2" impact and I am going to get that prick out. I used heat and a breaker bar. The sensor is oriented vertically so it is not hard to get to and it is directly mounted into the top of the cat. The downstream was cake. Smooth out, smooth in.

What a damn struggle!! I used my 1/2" impact gun... didn't help. I bought deep impact sockets. Apparently that just means they are long sockets but on the inside halfway up the wall narrow so they were of NO USE. I removed the heat shield to gain full access to the O2 sensor. Even with the impact, the sockets just spun and spun. I was frustrated to no end. So just to enrage myself more I put the offset sockets on it with a 3" extension and the 3/8 ratchet and gave her a lil push. It friggin moved. So I soaked the piss out of it with more PB and worked the sensor back and forth a few times. One more squirt and out she came.

I discovered the last owner had an incorrect O2 sensor put in. They used a Bosh 15128 indicated by the light gray sleeve on the wires and the holes only in the tip. I used the OE Denso 234-4242. This has perforations around the entire tip cylinder. Once the sensor was out I sprayed the DPF/CAT cleaning foam into the hole on top of the catalytic converter core. I used the entire can and let it sit for the recommended 25min.

Once time was up I cleaned up the hole, used some petroleum jelly to lube the threads and in went the sensor. Reassembled the car and drove it for 1 hour. 40min was recommended. Took about 10 minutes to fully clear everything out and I can feel a slight difference in the pedal for the better and the engine is smoother. Could be the cleaner, could be the correct OE oxygen sensor, could be a combo of both but I am pleased for sure.

Got lucky with my car, haven't found anything improperly repaired yet 😂

Although it was some kind of commercial/fleet vehicle before I got it, and they cut the power wire to their tracking device and just left it under the carpet...

Talking myself in and out of buying a Kenwood eXcelon DMX958XR head unit. I bought the DD dash kit for the Equinox a while back so I can mount a DD head unit in the lower pocket area if I want. What I am finding is that it is kind of a pain in the *** to use a HiRes media player, use my phone and the radio at the same time. When I stop throughout the day for various things I have to unplug my phone, stop the media player and turn it off before I exit the car... Bluetooth is all screwed up. My Garmin GPS wants to use it while my phone wants to use it... I don't know. Life was more simple when it was just my SSD plugged into the head unit.

Well I went a different route. I bought a Kenwood eXcelon DNX697S. Its a DVD Navigation Double Din full depth head unit. I haven't had a unit that plays disc in a while. Two rear USB ports and an SD card slot on the front that according to Kenwood can be up to 2TB and will play HiRes audio.

Well, my new Kenwood was delivered today. I purchase factory refurbished Kenwoods and they come in a plain brown box with no manuals. Well they must have been out of refurbs because what I got was a retail box, every accessory, the user/owners manual and no refurbished sticker on the unit. This looks to be 100% retail. $1k head unit for $585.
