I didn't even know this was a thing the public could buy. Being that I am going to have to drill my doors and door sills to run the wire from the amp to the door speakers these will look factory AF!!!

Just ordered the door jam boot things. These are literally just for hiding the speaker wires to the hybrid audio speakers.

I have had the Equinox for about a year. I purchases K&N filters for the engine air filter as well as the cabin air filter. I just got my cabin air filter cleaning kit not too long ago so I cleaned it today. MAN was that filter filthy!

Stereo install about to continue shortly. I am waiting for a few more things in the mail. I literally just have wiring left. Then DSP tuning.

I got them!! Now I can drill the holes for the door speakers and finish the install!!!!

These are really handy. They've been around since I started installing, back in 1997. They were highly necessary when working on old cars that don't have wires in the doors. I mostly used the ones designed for a Civic or Ranger.

D4S's videos about amplifiers over heating when installed and what caused the issues made me order some plastic risers a while back and purchase 4 special screws. Well, it's not much but I had time before work today to install the amp risers and new screws. Now there is plenty of space for the bottom mounted fans on the amp to draw in air.

I pulled out one of my rolls of speaker wire and cut it in half. I think I have misplaced some speaker wire because I know I ordered enough for three runs on each side of the Equinox. T - M - MB. Right now I have the wire for the Mid-Bass. I also seem to have misplaced the black carpet for the upper board that will hold the cap bank, fused distribution block... and the DSP. I am forcing myself to finish this damn install. I need some bass. People keep asking me what my license plate means. When I tell them they say OOOHHHH LET ME HEAR IT!!

Wanna hear something stupid? I have been going over all of my purchases of speaker wire. Of which I only use SkyHigh OFC and guess what. I only ordered 50ft of 16awg ofc for the Equinox so far for the mids and highs. The other was 10awg ofc for the subs... which I have. So I still need 100ft more of mo$*%&*(#$( god da#((#*$&*$% ofc speaker wire. I could have sworn I bought it though....

I put in my order. 50ft of 16awg cca for the tweeters blue and black (less power demand) 50ft of 16awg ofc green and black for the mids. Different colors for ease of wiring. I can put boots on them at the amp to hide the colors. Ok, so that is done.

I was searching the Equinox looking for the carpet I know I have for my amp rack board and under my drivers seat is another 50ft of 16awg ofc red and black sky high speaker wire. Still in the shipping package from sky high.

Looks like I will have extra speaker wire now. I did order more carpet and it arrived today but it looks more like felt than box carpet like the other one I misplaced. I can't win.

Looks like my oil filter is a cartridge filter and is on top of my engine. I do not own a 32mm socket... well, I didn't. I ordered an anodized green aluminum socket on Amazon. Will be here tomorrow.

WoooHooo got my little 32mm socket from Amazon today. Changed my oil filter. Apparently my universal joint was missing a pin and it came apart. Luckily I had a clip from a trailer latch that I was able to use as a pin and got the filter back in. I headed right over to Harbor Freight and picked up a cheap 3 pack of universal joints. Took like 3 min to change the filter since it is a cartridge filter on the top side. Fairly easy to get to as well. 2- 6" extensions and 1-3", the universal joint and socket and out she came. WIX installed.
