If you had the time to show him, it might have been worth it to get a demo or spare amp, if you have any, and prove him wrong. But if you were working with a backlog that day, guess there wouldn't be time for a little "experiment".

see, thats the customer that is just mad at the world...and worth SAVING your time and losing him as a customer...because no matter what in his mind he's right. Even with an amp...he'd crank em until they were about to blow, and still say "ohhhh, see they still distort even with an amp".

BTW...are you working at a local shop...??? Opened on sunday...??? NICE! I dont know 1 shop around me that is opened on sunday.

Anyway, I was being completely patient with him...I never give customers attitude, even when they give it to me...just the type of person I am.

It was funny, he was sitting there telling me he knows more then me...I just sat there and said yep, you know more then me sir, absolutely.
