Well I usually dont watch basketball, but I am starting to get in the mood again. So wanted to hear what your guys' thoughts will be on this season. Who do you think is gonna go all the way. I hope its not the spurs or the pistons. I will give you my top 5, starting with my favorite. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

1.Cleveland Cavaliers(Man with labron James and Larry Hughes and big Z in the center I dont know how they could lose unless there heads get to big.

2.Chicago Bulls(Love how young they are and how well they play and gell as a team.)

3.New York Knicks( Have a scarry starting line up and some good bench players.)

4.Los Angeles Lakers( Still think Kobe is the best all around bballer out there. I think they have a good mix of young and experience. Should be interesting to see where they go with Phil Jackson back.)

5.Los Angeles Clippers(I think they will be the darkhorse this year and should do very well.)

Those are just some of my teams that I want to see do well. I am sure Cleveland and the Knicks will make the playoffs this year and hopefully Cavs take it all.

But I am sure teams like the Pistons and the Spurs or Miami will be the main contendors.

So what do you guys think?

i'm excited about this season. the pistons are getting no respect at all and that is fine by me. it took 7 games in the finals for the pistons to be defeated and now the pistons have the same team returning and no one is even picking them to get past the second round //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

yall better watch out 4 new jersey and miami...those 2 are the teams to beat this year

as far as underdogs..i would have to say minnesota....if they start the season winnig alot of games..that would be good 4 them

the knicks r still trash and they will always be trash....i dont see them in the playoffs 4 another 3 years....i'm ashamed to live the same city as the knocks..thats how garbage they are

of course I am a celtics fan so I think they could go all the way. that first game they played looked very promising but we will see how the season plays out.

Shaq is already injured but Heat will still make playoffs easily.

On the other side, Spurs will probably go to Finals. Houston could pose a threat for them though.

On another note, is it just me or is the East and West evening up?

Miami has a team that can win it all, but they need that chemistry to click. Shaq being hurt now won't slow them down though. Wade is the teams true franchise player. If Walker and J. Williams step up, we will be hard to beat. Zo is dominate and Payton is a solid vet.

east is definately up there with the west. detroit won a championship and went 7 in the finals and came 12 minutes from a second so the east is up there. the top half of the east can hang with the west, but the 6-8 seeds don't compare to the west.

It's not that they don't get respect, you'd have to be borderline retarded to not respect what they've done. It's just that you don't really realize how good they are until the playoffs come around.

Cavs are destined for a first round playoff exit at best. Spurs will win it all again barring any injury, it's not fair that the best team in the league gets to add a versatile 3 man who can score and a solid backup PG who can shoot the three.

My pick for the finals is Spurs/Pacers

i still say spurs and pistons. the pacers imo are detroit's greatest threat. miami has a nice team but i don't see all the parts fitting. i also remember a lakers team that was so great that had shaq, kobe, karl malone, and gary payton that got killed in the finals. the pistons still have the same core that got them to the finals twice, and hopefully delfino will stay healthy and contribute off the bench and darko can develop more into a useable player off the bench. also look for rasheed to have a better year and tayshaun prince to improve even more from last year. i guess since the pistons don't have superstars they were just waiting for them too loose so they can say i told ya so and write them off the next season. i still don't think the pistons will beat the spurs though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Your right, Miami has all potential right now, but not what it takes at the moment. they invested in a supporting cast for Wade, but he still needs to be the aggressive player he was last season. I think getting rid of Damon Jones was a mistake.

If they can adjust to each others' playing style, then Miami will be the Beast of the east again.

Pistons are the better team in the east hands down but for some reason I see the Heat posing a threat. I give the Pistons alot of respect but Spurs are my team and people have to admit that it will be real tough to take them down they are really strong right now I think the strongest they have ever been.

And actuaLOL @ the top 5 list in the first post.
Hey it may be funny. But that is my list and I am sticking with it. I usually go for underdogs and my home team. I think Cleveland has one of the best starting lineups in Basketball today next to the spurs. I also think alot of people are gonna be surprised this yeat at the knickabockers. I threw in the bulls becasue they were extremley fun to watch last year and with Ben Gordon and Kirk Hinrich at the guards that is 2 of the young and upcomers in my mind.

I also put at the bottom that it will probably be Miami, spurs, or detriot. I mean we all know that. I just want to see some other teams in there being a surprise so it makes this year exciting. I hate seeing the same teams get in it year after year unless it is my home town team. But I live outside of cleveland so that hardly ever happens.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
