The 2005 NBA season

i usually dont get in on these early season threads, but i have to. i am born and raised in san antonio and have always loved my Spurs but i did call detroit as champs and spurs out in the second round before the playoffs, year before last, they just weren't strong enough. manu still hadnt matured and solidified the team and we lost stephen jackson

I agree with you totally about horry and Kerr. I also have a feeling that the spurs will take it again this year. I just wish there would be a different team in the east. Always seems like its detriot. I mean they have a good team but the cavs are taking them out this year. Probably not, but I have faith. Just like I did for the Indians and look where they went. Oh well.

Whatever, you just had to throw in that last little stab at Doc didn't you?? Thats ok I don't mind one bit. I'm not sure how solid the C's will be this year. They are one of if not THE youngest team in the league and time is the only thing that will make them better. In my opinion they're better than the Cavs but time will tell this year. There is alot to be said about youth and they have plenty of it. I see Boston as a 4th or maybe a 5th seed this year but you never know they just might win that division seeing how they did last year.
Like I said, the Celtics have a good looking squad, but Doc is just an idiot. He made an embarrassment of himself in Orlando, and he's already blowing games this year. Did you see the other night when he allowed his 2 big men to foul out with 6 minutes left while holding an 11 point lead? Then has no idea what to do in overtime at all? Or taking out Al Jefferson is place of the abysmal Kendrick Perkins for no reason at all, only to see Perkins blow it? Dude is not a good coach.

To be honest I don't get to see them where I am. Unless they're on ESPN or playing against the Pistons they simply aren't televised in my area and I definitely am NOT spending the money on the Directv NBA package. The Sunday ticket is expensive enough but its worth it and I can't say the same for the NBA.

If he is screwing up as a coach then he won't last long there. Danny Ainge will NOT allow it continue for too long. You have to admit they're probably a hard team to coach being so young. They stayed close to the Pistons last week simply because of Paul Pierce going off in the 4th quarter. Ricky Davis is too wishy washy for my tastes as well. Dammit I miss the days of Larry, Kevin, Robert, Dennis, and Danny.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I'm sure it's not easy to coach such a young team, especially with a lot of players that really have no idea what they're doing out there in terms of operating within an offense, but he's made a bunch of fundamental errors, for which there's no excuse.

Like I said I haven't watched them except for the Pistons barnburner game so I'll have to take your word for it. I just hope if this continues that Danny will kick him to the curb.

like blowing a 3-1 series lead?

When?? and Where??

2003, eastern conference 1st round, detroit vs. orlando, orlando had a 3 games to 1 lead on detroit, tracy mcgrady proceeded to say, i finally know what it is like to be in the 2nd round, or something to that effect, but that never happened as detroit won 3 straight.

Oh ok, I remember that now. That WAS pretty hilarious.

Yeah, pretty retarded. I could see it being ok if the teams or cities had a rivalry or something, but there's no history whatsoever between Sacramento and Detroit. But it sure got the Kings riled up enough to be get blown out by over 20.
