taxes didn't go up I guess but the deficit sure as hell did which will have to be paid eventually. Like I said, eventually people will understand that money is real. Consider yourself lucky and fortunate to be in a good position, I know I am. Legions of others have had to take lesser jobs because of cuts i.e. GM and overseas employee utilization. Count yourself as fortunate and an exception to the rule today.

and that is what is fundamentally wrong with society today, if it doesn't affect you then why care. Maybe for the greater good of our society as a whole. Not just for you and your family, but if society as a whole is greater than your world too is even better.

Its not a scam to cover the national debt. In fact it adds to it and makes it more visible. I meant it was a political ploy, like the first one. Funny how they come up on election years. The gov't is borrowing more money to give us and it's not an effective means to stimulate the economy. We need something more longterm. Plus we have to claim it as earned income next year so you don't even get all the benefits of the rebate. There were better ways to accomplish this, although less flashy and therefore less appealing to lawmakers, from both sides.

I never said anything ever was about me. I'm just waiting for you to explain to me how the tax rebate is scam to cover up the national debt.
