Well, I know ,that when it comes, that we are dividing it up and buying "things" with it.I just posted the "official" rebate schedule in the crunk times thread.
Checks begin shipping out in late May.
This in independant of your tax filings currently due.
Whether it will help or not depends on your economic persuasion. I do not believe it will help, however, I can explain some theory that says it might.
lol.. WAY more than 400billion. Also why the **** do people rag on the deficit?? It's not a "bad" thing.Theory it might, Bush has his theory too that he has implemented the past 8 years - alot of good that theory has done thus far huh. The theory is that "tax credits" are INTENDED to boost the economy - the one thing that is not figured is that people's spending is relative to their outlook on the economy - when the census is the economy is strong=people will spend; when census is the economy is bad=people save. Where we are now, people will save, pay off bills, refinance and wait. The $600 average people get is not going to pull the country out of this recession, but hey I'll take what I can get. AND a fundamental thought has been missed with these tax breaks - they just added instantly $130 billion to our $400 billion deficit. Sure do love Bush's theories. I have a theory - if your grandmother had balls, she would be your grandfather...
Probably because they want to defend the dollar so **** bad.lol.. WAY more than 400billion. Also why the **** do people rag on the deficit?? It's not a "bad" thing.
and that would explain them being the working poor. I am not rich, I work for what I have, save what I can and spend when I want. There is a fine line between the working poor and middle class - soon there will be the poor and the rich and the way this country is being run the poor will get poorer and the rich will get richer.I think some of the members grossly overestimate the thinking skills of the working poor. Seriously...most of you are middle class and have the luxury to save it.
What if you weren't? What if you thought this was an excellent opportunity to get your son/daughter a computer, a new bike, etc.
Not everyone has the discipline to save up $2,000 for car audio equipment. Not everyone is Joey where is parents bought them a new SUV and car audios.
I think some of you out there do not understand poverty...and an opportunity to make a "lump sum" purchase.

An excellent opportunity, it is an excellent opportunity to pay off your bills and get ready for harder times.
and by the way my name isn't Joey, it's Rich. I work for my money and pay for what I have.
That thought process will continue to keep those in poverty, at some point it needs to change.
we too may buy some things with it - things that will add equity to our house, patio pavers under our deck, new paint etc - not shoes or tv's or cd's and **** sure am not going to buy a new car just cause I got $1200 back from Uncle Sam.Well, I know ,that when it comes, that we are dividing it up and buying "things" with it.
I'm thinking most people will likely pay off debt with it. (which is why you think it won't work?) or do you just think that it's not enough?
Working poor is above 21k and below 45ish(k). In my head, there is no way our country could turn into "Rome".and that would explain them being the working poor. I would hardly call $45k working poor.Working poor is above 21k and below 45ish(k). In my head, there is no way our country could turn into "Rome".
