Dear Bender,
Would you seriously die to keep your guns? If someone showed up at your house and tried to take them you would kill them? You talk about defending your family but just think of the position they would be in without guns AND you. I understand fighting for your rights but going to prison for life or dieing just to be able to go hunting or to a shooting range is not worth it to me. There are other ways to go about things. If anything you would be giving them more of a reason to not permit people to have assault rifles.

i saw this after my post above me and decided to answer this also...
like seth said it is not just about owning guns and shooting them it is the principle of things. The moment you start laying down and letting someone walk all over you they will continue to do so. Where does it stop? first ban guns, then what? i bet any and every one of you would be irate if they tried to take away your right to free speech.

I don't say much anyway. They can take it.

I have had this same discussion with many locals at the range and everyone feels the same way.... trust me i would not be the only one. actually no.. i am a frequent and avid shooter and these are my rights as lined out in the constitution. I will not hand them over because it is my duty as an American citizen to protect the constitution and for what it stands. If you don't agree with fighting for your rights as an American you are a sorry excuse for an American and are a contributor to a Socialist Reform
