Testing Preamps ?

Honestly I've never actually sat down and tested my preamps . I assumed that it would be an ac current and gorunding the dmm probe on the closest location would be ok ? If im mistaken some correct me if not lemme know I've got it right lol.

well i tested the preamps on my old pioneer, and jack frost told me to stick the + of the DMM in the hole and the - on the outter metal. and i believe its DC current. it worked for me that way...

I picked up the alarm for 140$ , DC current eh hmm ill be testing mine tomorrow I've already got the rca's connected so ill just test off those

thatd prolly be alot easier. you may wanna make sure that you can do that though. i dont see why not, but you may wanna ask some1 who knows more than me

you test it just like you would test your batt voltage
