so i finally got to putting together a box the would fit snug in my WRX. Its appx 2.6+ ish? cu ft. not too sure since i made it as big as i could, but small enough to fit through the trunk opening.
heres the sub:
to fit the speaker, i used cardboard, tape, and spare pieces of wood for bracing. heres what it looked like:
got the front and back glued on:
now this is the part where i was frustrated, the angles on the thing were a pain to get snug, no pics during these parts because i was pissed at the thing, but it eventually ended up like this:
in my opinion, this the smoothest sub ive heard so far. the transitions between each note is very* crisp. the lows are played with ease and the kick drums are simply awesome. its like a 12" midwoofer the way it plays them fast basslines
.
i'll probably redo the box with some fresh MDF and install it in a project Bimmer that i'll sound deaden to get the full effect of its accuracy.
so all in all, LMT is legit
