Testing amplifier w/o Car

I do not have a car yet but want to test my subwoofer and amplifier. I have a battery, an ipod w/rca cables, an amplifier, power/ground wire, and a subwoofer. I figure I have everything I need except some way to get a remote lead. I just need to figure out a way for the amplifier to know to turn on.

Anyone know how I can do this? 12v battery maybe? haha i dunno.

There are three ways, one involves an automotive battery. The other involves a computer's PSU. The third involves a 120VAC -> 12VDC switching power supply.

POWER SUPPLIES from Parts Express ship same day and come with 45 day money back guarantee. Free Shipping Available. Order free 10,000 product catalog.

Just depends on the extensiveness of testing you want to preform.

I ran a FULTRON Depth Charge off a 200W HERCULES PSU build in 1992. So, it's not that hard. But I remember the PSU likes to flip its circuit breaker after extended periods of loud music.

I have a car battery. I just don't know how to send a signal that tells the amplifier to turn on because I dont have a head unit...
