Dual Amp Wiring

Hello all- I just got myself a 2008 Mazda 3 hatchback, and I am upgrading the audio in stages. First order of business was to add a sub. I am currently running a 12" JLW3V3 2-ohm sub through an Alpine PDX 1.600 off the head unit. My next step will be to install Polk MM6501 components in the front, running through an Alpine PDX 4.100. I am running the sub amp (mounted in trunk) via a high quality 4 awg power cable. My question is this: since the 4 channel amp only requires an 8 g power cable, can I keep the 4 g power cable and run it into a dist. block, then have 4g going to the sub amp, and 8 g going to the 4 channel? Is it necessary to reduce cable size when going through a dist. block? Must I run a 0 or 2 g cable for my main power? ****'s expensive! The amp fuses add up to 140 amps. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

i would suggest looking into knukonceptz.com , running 1 4 gauge run will suffice when you split it though i would recommend keeping 4gauge going into the amp. in other words one 4 awg split into two same size 4 awg wires
