Factory terminals...

The factory terminals that I have on my battery are horrid. They are crimped onto the positive terminal. How the hell do I get these wires onto an aftermarket terminal if they are crimped to the factory one? The negative side doesn't matter because I can just replace the grounds.

I'll take a pic when it's sunlight to show you guys.

And btw, is a battery negative to engine block ground considered ok?

What vehicle do you have?

I have done battery relocation in a few vehicles, including my old '98 silverado.

The factory batt location was originally on the passenger side under the hood, but it had a secondary spot on the drivers side (4.3L V6). The relocation in this truck was VERY simple. I just used a distro-block at the stock batt location to connect the stock positive leads to a 2ga jumper over to the upgraded batt on the passenger side batt box under the hood. I did big-3 also w/ 1/0ga. I then ran pos/grnd to the bed of the truck to a tool box where I housed my 3-group-31 batts. I also had my DD C4a and 2 IA20.1's in the tool box on an amp rack. (later upgraded to a DD Z2hv) I used 2" PVC fittings to link the toolbox to the bed of the truck. The RCA/REM wires where run thru 1" fittings to the toolbox thru the cab/bed. This helped to free up ALOT of space in the cabin of the old '98 ext cab silverado...I got it up to a daily 155ish w/ 3 DD3515's.

If your stock wiring is short, distro-blocks and upgraded wiring are always your friend.

94 prelude. I don't want to have to go through that trouble. I WOULD if I needed to, but I don't even have anywhere to put an extra battery. Trunk is tiny. I'd have to put it in the backseat...lmfao.
Any opinions on this terminal?

Positive Battery Terminal

I have a neg terminal shipping to me but haven't ordered a positive. This looks good and cheap to me.
Knu makes good stuff...
