test tones for setting gains with active xover

in the process of re-setting gains for my mids and tweets.

what frequency should i use to set the gains on both my mids and my tweets? I was thinking 180hz for the mids and ~2000hz for the tweets?

What are your crossover points? I would use a frequency in the middle octave of each band with a meter, then adjust by ear to suit your taste and use.

I would go a little lower with your mids to about 120 or so and it really depends on how low your tweets can go but be careful. If they go pretty low try about 3khz.

how about ya just play some music and adjust things till they sound right to your ear.... not a meter.
