Techie question...bypassing ICs

I have a Blaupunkt BEA-120, an equalizer-booster from an old Porsche's factory system. I'd like to bypass the amplifier stage (the ICs), and use it as an equalizer. Can this be done?

I really like this unit, it wasn't bad for a booster (has a bigger heatsink than some small amps), but it looks like the ICs are blown anyway, due to a speaker lead short. The band's frequencies are really useful, and it has a glass-epoxy PC board! It's a quality component.

Any help would be most appreciated

You would probably need to find a wiring diagram to do something like that. Cuz I think you would have to open the amp up and switch some wires around. I'm really not sure though...

I do not see this as being worth your time at all. It may have been a good booster for the factory system but it was designed specifically for that. If you have a good HU and such set up it is only going to be one more thing you do not need in the line of the signal to your amps and may even make the sound worse wrather than better.

The AudioControl LC7i has a maximum output voltage of up to 8.5volts. It can output up to 8.5 volts which is more than a typical aftermarket head...
