Team Kicker/Team Phat hertz

i got nothing againts anyone but if i where on team phat hertz or team kicker i would just stay quiet and fix things rather then posting and making myself look even badder and probably gonna end up getting kicked of a manufacture team.

Team Kicker has nothing to do with this. That is what polecat was trying to say. The few members of Team Phat Hertz that have posted have said they are kicking mark in the *** right now trying to get the whole mess straightened out. They may not think they are defending him by some of the things they have said make it look like that is they are doing.

This thread COULD have been a simple PoleCat saying Team Kicker has nothing to do with it and its all Phat Hertz and then Phat Hertz could rebuttle saying they know mark is a dumbass and they are shoving their size 12 up his *** right now and that it should all be taken care of eventually and then it be ended. But some people jumped in and some people from phat hertz basically "defended" mark and yadda yadda yadda 5 pages in less than 24hrs.

The fact of the matter is Mark screwed up, big time, and i dont even know 10% of the story. Im sure it will get worked out but right now im still laughing.

I would think that even though team Kicker has nothing to do with this, the fact that their name is on his ride when he competes, they would pressure him to get this shit taken care of, simply to prevent these types of threads from getting started. Eventually, it is going to reflect badly on them as well. I have already wondered why they would have such a douche on their team, regardless of what numbers he can toss up. IMO, it doesn't further their cause.

edit: Hmmm, I do not work for a major car audio company, but I thought the point of giving someone a coorporate sponsorship was to have your name in connection with theirs (ie: so and so of team kicker wins spl with world record), but this thread started out doing the exact opposite. Probably wouldn't be so bad, but it is going to have to be done over and over IMO.

To the Phat Hertz guys, as a sponsored competitor for the past 5 years or so, you are conducting yourselves in a very bad manor, and I dont mean as far as defending your teammate, but in the way you talk to other people. Think about it, I have seen most of you guys, cussing up a storm, on this forum, and even in this post. Talk civilized but dont cuss, there is no need for that, you cant get your point across without using such language? Am I saying that I dont curse, no, but I dont do it on a forum, where sponsors, and potential customers for my sponsor will see me acting and talking in an unprofessional manor, which is the way sponsors would like to you behave . I have no problems with mark, dont even know the guy, so please no one take this as a bashing, Im just trying to get you guys to understand from an outside source. I dont know any of the Phat Hertz guys, to base an opinions of, I am just speaking from someone looking in an listening from the outside.

To Tommy and all the others who say "If you met me you wouldn't think that way." If you are a better person or representative of a company in person, why the fvck would you not do the same on this forum. It is extremely easy to agree with someone, who you obviously have some respect for, and say that you are the same way outside of this forum, but I highly doubt it. Tommy, I understand defending someone who is both mate and teammate. In the large scale I respect it. In the short term, however, that above which I have boldfaced cannot coexist. He is either diligent or he needs to get his can in gear ~ it cannot be both.

The problem is that he continuously tests and tests and tests, changing little things here and there, to make the best box he can. He's rebuilt a customers box (before sending it to him) about 3 times now to get the best performance. While this takes a painstakingly long time, he feels that in the end it is most definitely worth it.

The real problem is a constant pattern of making promises that he either cannot or will not fulfill. As I do not know Mark I cannot say with any certainty which it is. While I can get behind his going above and beyond for any customer what happens to the rest of the long list of people that have been more than patient with him while he is doing so? Good on Mark for taking good care of a customer. He should show that same dedication and attention to the rest of them. I'm trying to be respectful with both you and him as I do not care for the conversation to degrade to a schoolyard-level pissing contest but truly if you do not see the lunacy in your constant defense of someone who has done absolutely nothing to earn or deserve it then more fool you. He needs to get off the stick. He actually needed to get off of it long, long ago. Please explain to him that realizing one's limits is not a sign of weakness but rather a sign of wisdom.

What mark needs is a few swift kicks to the ***, which i've already given him a few.

there are 20 + members on the team, only a few are members of this forum, and half of that number posts in the TCAB threads.

i'll agree those few make the team look bad as a whole, however, the team has no relation to TCAB(i don't even think anyone on TPH runs any TCAB gear, minus a few ports....

I've been a part of Team Kicker for almost 2 years now, and our Team has some of the greatest people on it backed by some of the greatest support. Tracy...you are the friggin man.

All I keep thinking about is this one particular statement.... "we are all judges by the company we keep" This Mark guy is a part of your team. It doesnt matter if all of you agree Mark is making some bad decisions, it doesn't matter if you all are kinda mad at him for this.....until this situation gets resolved it might be in the best interest of your team (and as far as I'm concerned in the best interest of Team Kicker) to cut all ties until he settles his issues. I know I sure don't want to go to show somewhere and have someone who knows nothing but the info he's read about the Mark/TCAB/Phat Hertz/Kicker relationship...look at me in my Team Kicker Jersey and go..."boy, those Team Kicker guys sure are jerks"

This whole situation is making us all look bad in some way. As a proud member of Team Kicker, I of course would like to see a speedy resolution to this entire situation. But what you guys do, I can't control.

I would hate to see the "powers that be" at Stillwater decide that Team Kicker isn't worth all the hassle and negative publicity they are recieving on the internet. Face it, most buying decisions are made after someone does some 'net-searching', and this just looks bad on the whole Team.

I'm not saying that I've always made the best decisions while I've had manufacturer support, but I've learned from my mistakes and am only passing on what I consider to be some valuable knowledge.
