Tc10 Oem

i ordered mine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif working on everything else. how off would i be if i put it in a .65 enclosure instead of .6
you'll be fine, the driver will take up .1 cu. ft. anyway

mine should be here the 14th. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i started the box today. should be done by tonight. .66xx cuft sealed before driver.

should i double baffle? shipping weight is 49.0 lbs. while the actual driver weight is 29.5 lbs...

holy 20 lbs of packaging batman...

Few questions from a noob:blush: . I was looking at these and the FI's. I'm a noob and can't build a box, so someone recommended me to go to fishercustoms. I want clean bass but also that hits well. I see people say SQ and SPL. I know SPL is hard hitting but don't know what SQ is.

One question is would getting the Hifonics BXi 1606D work with 2 of either of these or should i just get one sub. Because i think both of these are 800rms.

Next one is would i have to tell fishercustoms what cubic ft box i would need exactly, because lookin at tc's site they say...

Ported:0.5-0.6 cubic feet with a single 10" or 12" PR
but when i look at their site the smallest cubic foot they have is 1.5...

Ported Boxes With Carpet

1.5 cubes - $150
Anyones help would be appreciated and don't bash me to hard lol.

that they do. and the cone/dustcap is very unique.but could anyone tell me if a double baffle is needed for one of these?
If you mount it with the magnet facing up or down... not really. If you mount it with the magnet facing sideways... I would double baffle it to make sure it doesn't pull the screws out -- as it is very heavy and deep so it will have alot of leverage on those screws.

thanks. thats what i was thinking but wasnt sure.

ima have to go by HD to see if they have any scrap wood for teh second baffle..

Hes talking about what the sub will take up.

And its definatley at least .1, not .05
oops

James Bang is building my box for me also with a double baffle, I'll have my review on the 14th also. maybe some vids if i can get my hands on a camera

ordered mine on the 8th should be here the 14th as well... going in a .6 sealed off a re 12.1 at 2 ohms i'll have pics and vids asap.

cant wait; should be interesting

I built a .45 ft^3 sealed box due to space issues and it sounds pretty good. I ended up taking out the polyfill.

I don't think that amp will be enough for 2 subs. I have a PA A1000db hooked up right now at a supposed 800 watts (maybe the actual is closer to 700, I don't know) at 2 ohm and it barely moves the cone. I'm going to upgrade to a Kicker 1000.1 that should be rated more accurately and hopefully it will be loud enough.

Whatever you do i would act quickly before they sell these out. They truly are works of art with that cone.

Thanks for replying, thought noone was going to lol. I think i am going to order one 10 dvc tomorrrow to be on the safe side and get that amp, I know that amp will power one easily. Now comes the problem with the box, I'm still lost on who to go to and what to exactly get(cubic ft wise). I keep reading these are best for sealed enclosures so i am getting a sealed i know. But i see it say on their site .6 cubicfoot recommended and when i look on custom box sites like fisher i see the smallest starting out at 1.0. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

they stopped giving out scrap wood. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif !

so i had to by a 24 x 48 piece to get a 12x12 for my double baffle. well i now have extra for when i decide to port that ish

If your talking about the fischer (I think that's the way you spell it) on this site, he will make whatever size box you want. Just send him a PM.

Did everyone double baffle their box?

Also i have a question. If the sub needs .6FT^3 sealed do i have to make it actually bigger than that to account for the volume of the subwoofer itself? So for example if the sub took up .3FT^3 of space do i actually make the box .9FT^3? Need to know today because i have to build the box today.
