what is there to justify..If they want to charge $90,000.00 and can get it why not... There is a much larger demographic than the forums, so if they are building a dealer network it would prob make them raise pricing to MSRP for direct pricing(to protect the dealers they setup).. When a dealer network is established, prob get the same pricing from them that u were getting before...

Not unless their dealer network works for nothing. The dealers will probably be getting the prices we once did, and we'll see a stubstantial mark-up from that.

Unless you are a shareholder, they don't owe you an explanation or justification.

I don't understand why everyone on the forums feel that these direct-sales companies "owe" us something. They are a business and can do as they please (regarding their pricing structure) without explanation or justification. Whether or not it's a smart business move is another story and one which I'm not going to debate. But they, or any other company, certainly aren't required to explain or justify themselves.

Regardless.....if you are looking for a solid TC2+, TC9 or LMT based driver......this is just one more reason to take your business over to Mike @ Soundsplinter (shameless plug for a great company that doesn't get talked about much anymore //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif )

Apparently they replied to another thread entitled mike is an A$$hole, they didn't know about this thread apparently. I spoke with them today, and what what I got for months if not years they were actually selling there units at those prices individually rather than in bulk when they did in OEM. So they will no longer be selling their woofers online to the general public only through dealers and retail. I'm not happy about the changes but they did give a months notice, and they are actually going to put the rest of their surplus at the old prices through the weekend and even past Monday so if you are looking to buy some you'd have to ASAP. When thinking of the pricing think of eclipse back in the day, the titanium was around $700 and the pro near $1000. Also from talking to mike it appears that they wont be selling online anymore to protect the dealers from being undercut like what happened a while back(Soundsplinter ring a bell). So even though were all upset, put if my company was in the RED i'd make some drastic changes as well. The overhead on sending out a single woofer would be higher than sending out 1000 at one time, So in most cases they wouldn't even break even, they'd be losing money on each transaction

The tc drivers are being discontinued in way of new products and procedures not to be sold online.

We have a few drivers left and we have reduces the prices back (as of today) to the old "sales" until stock is depleted, FYI: there is not much left.

We are committed to supporting all of our drivers we have sold on-line for repairs or service over years to come.

We are expanding into a new market. Wish or luck or hate us, we're doing what we want to do as a company, and we don't intend to upset anyone in the process.

TC Sounds will launch a new brand for car audio, and we will be in dealers in every major city by Jan.
