is TC really that bad? I don't understand. I have an OEM10 and love it. I even heard a FI Q and preferred the OEM. I know its personal choice and all that, but why do so many people seem to hate TC? I guess its a hate it or love it company...I don't know. Maybe it's just one guy that hates them and then a bunch of other uneducated ignorant morons joining the bandwagon....

kinda like that.. a few people (a lot of people) have had shitty service/broken drivers, etc. the rest are keyboard warriors who just like to hate (especially if its not fi)

Companies work hard for years to have an inkling of success and you come on here to take 30 seconds of your day and call them shit. When you've done anything remotely similar to what they have done, then you can talk all the crap you want justifiably.
And the A series was not the fault of TC Sounds, if I remember correctly. Been so long...

To Punk0Rama, I see why dB Dom is being critical of TC. You just dont close down the forums like TC did. It was the only help that we TC owners had and alot of helpful stuff was discussed there. I am very frustrated with that whole part of what TC Sounds did. Bring the forum back at least if youre gonna raise prices! These subs are hard enough to put in the correct box let alone scavage up enough cash to pay for them!

i doubt this is official (the forum shut down), it's like what happened with Ascendant audio when they shut down they're forum on carstereo.org iirc, now (after a year or more) they have their forum back but on soundillusions.com.

and yea it is kinda silly when they postpone the price raise date like that, its like as if they dont know what they doing anymore nor what they wanna do.

To clear this up

Ascendant Audio was kicked off of Soundillusions because Chad wasn't responding to questions and basically, the negative feelings toward the company. AA is now on SSA's forum.

Very happy with my TC subs, and I know many others are happy with their sound splinters eclipse subs etc.
I have 2 OEM 10's BNIB but nothign to use them in, which is what really sucks.

Well... Here is my thoughts on this whole thing. When a company changes formats they burn a lot of people. Look at RE. But, it looks like they weren't making enough money to stay afloat in the current setup (OEM, On-Line Sales/Support, and whatever else they do/did). So, they seem to be going back to what their bread and butter was/is OEM. However, having burned so many people and with the price increase on the already expensive subwoofers I am looking at this as too little too late. I know a lot of you love TC, and I think they made a pretty good product from what I have seen heard. But, I have never owned TC. I have a decent supply of cash so it isn't like I couldn't afford TC subs, but I could never justify the cost/gain for the subwoofers they sold. I think that there are probably some people out there that agree with me.

Anyway, it also seems they have lost a lot of the OEM companies. I believe SVS is one company that doesn't use them anymore (IIRC). So, it seems that they are moving backwards and not forwards. But, they are falling backwards on to something that is no longer there for them. Someone said something about bankruptcy, it doesn't look like it is that far... YET... But, I honestly wouldn't be too surprised if bankruptcy wasn't down the road in a couple of years (for more than just TC) with the free spending cash availability going down, unless they have a big rabbit up their sleeves.

But, who knows... I know nothing...
