TC Sound TC9 or IDMAx?

I'm looking at the TC9 and the IDmax but not sure which will go best with my JL 500/1

I have an existing 1.25cf sealed box that I'm going to be using. I'm looking for nice clean sound that can get loud as well. I know for a fact that the IDmax will do this, but the TC9 12's price is almost $100 less. Which will be the best bangs for the bucks?

Defintely port whatever you get...

Of those 2 I would definitely pay the extra 100 bones for the IDMAX. Not only does the MAX have 6mm more XMAX, it also has more cone area and will do very well with 600 watts. They are efficient drivers and have tip top SQ and a **** good bit of output too. I miss my MAX from time to time, but then my XXX reminds me why I upgraded //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I run a sealed box as well, and I kinda want to change it out to ported, when I get the time to make a new box. The difference from sealed to ported is quite profound in terms of output, and to be honest I really haven't noticed a noticable difference in SQ or "tightness". (I used to run all my old subs ported).

The main reason why I don't want to go ported box is for the size. I can barely fit the 12" sealed box I have now in the space I would like to use it as. I'm trying not to take up a anymore space in my trunk. Beside I'm only using stock speakers, I had a soundstream 1002 power an Eclipse Alum and I like it a lot. I just happen to blow the rubber surround off of it after many years. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Did the surround come clean off of the cone? if so TC sounds has a kit that can fix that, in fact I got mine for free this past week

Trying to find a used one. Do you know who's selling an OZ?

I swear just 6 months ago, i see those matrix elite going for under $200 brand new on ebay, they seem to go for in the mid 200 now.

shoot him a pm, he seems like a good guy

he used it in 1.5 sealed with 600w rms.

so sounds like a eprfect sub for u
that's my brother's sub. It's not in the best shape, but it play perfectly.

I have to say that that sub surprises me in that little sealed box he has with only 600w. I just heard it yesterday. The OZ ME is the best replica of the iDmax ever made. Output is definitely there and it does well in small enclosures.

yah I saw that, but I would rather pay a little more for something in a little better condition.

Just a little tear int he surround will open bigger with daily pounding.
