TBI HDSS Tweeter Review

Werd, just wanted to make sure they would mate with my RS180s well...
nG
you could mate these with pretty much any speaker from reading other guys reviews on them. These are perfect for a 2way application.

btw in case anyone was wondering why i have a gap between my mids(50hz-4khz) and my sub (40hz). it is because in my car cabin gain is pretty bad at 40-50hz range. It peaks bad. So I put a gap in between the xover to let the rolloff on the slopes do the work. It made a HUGE difference when listening to music.

Here is that Pyle tweeter I was talking about how it looks a like lol

MMMmm... Pyle... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

Nice writeup.

Well, I'm possibly thinking about two pair in my LOUD TRK... but might not use both.

I'm toying with the idea of doing a centerstage thing like the CDT's... to try to keep a decent image and getting the volume I want. But it's just an idea and may fail miserably...

If I need to I can sell the other set... after the sale is over... for the same price. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You NEED to checkout Matt_Rs truck(same as yours iirc) if you want a fabulous center stage for both driver and passenger seat. His mids and highs are in the engine bay. Acoustically transparent dash, 8s in the floor, plus a sub in the console. Listening to his truck is like looking at Angelina Jolie. Granted his substage isnt at as loud as yours.

here is his build(he didnt update his thread with the new dash)

Okay.
Well I'm looking for input on what tweeter will provide me what I want...

nG
that center stage kit idea is a weird one. If you have the center tweets playing the right channel for the driver and one playing the left channel for the passenger, I don't see how you can get good imagine for either listening position

If anything, those center tweets will just narrow the stage, width spanning from the center to the left pillar for the driver.

I've tried it before. I've learned plenty since.
