and running threaded rod through that box will get you another .8 for sure. and pvc around the port is someting to try.

I did put a single 1 1/4" dowel behind the weak spot on the port, but that was all of the bracing. I wanted to do the pvc thing but we just ran out of time to test. Thanks for the advice though. I want to play with it some more and squeeze out a few tenths here and there, but I am really interested to see what kind of numbers this set-up will do with some real power since I keep hearing that the S10's really open up with power.

From experience threaded rod is way better then dowel. Dowel still flexs. 1 inb7 stud doesn't haha.but yeah man just keep workin on her and maybe repaint her haha and she will be good man

It made it through verification and he was studying the window line hard. They stopped me in the lane to "reverify" with the head judge and 3-4 others. They put my liscense plate on the top of the box and it touched the line and was deemed good. It's really f'n close, but it's full on legal. Everybody and their mother that passed my truck bent down and eyeballed it. Lol.

I pulled it to finals. It runs well but I've never driven it more than 5 minutes at a time and I don't like to wonder if I'm gonna make it to where I'm going (and back). Lol.
