Taramps Bass 12k

Dont trust others..

They have dual 3/0 inputs and single 4awg outputs on them.

We manufacture 6way inputs for power and ground for a total of 12 runs into it that allow 1/0-4/0 cable.

The input sensitivity seems odd to be that low. Doesn't sound right.

IF you are skeptical about setting it up properly, you can always get the Bass15k as it comes with the LED Monitor.

Thanks, I figured it was miscommunication (which seems to be common with taramps unfortunately)

How concerned should I be about not having a clipping light? I usually smell clipping and hear it depending on the amp, but are the bass 12k's overbuilt enough so that I don't need to worry about a soft clip and occasionally a hard clip?

Considering how stable people say the HD15k are I almost considered getting one since the price is basically the same lol

So.. apparently the Taramps Bass 12k use GaN output fets, that's pretty cool!

Mines been solid (HD15k) even wired .5 and I was going to sell it along with everything else and get a newer truck and go a little smaller system wise. I started thinking even if I drop down to 3-4 k the amp would still be the same size, Korean anyways. Might as well keep it and use it and just wire up to 2 ohms or even 4 ohms. Probably sell the rest because most will be different, so prob sell hu,subs alts and bracket ,batts caps and most 0 gauge and hardware.oh ya now I have 4 ppi 900.4s and probably won’t need all of them either.

Well I am not sure I even know Sq is if I heard it lol ! But definitely smaller, tired of having no room to put anything in my truck ! Not for sure yet. Going to move soon and we gotta buy a house if it has enough space maybe just keep the old girl for stereo. And if so prob go for blow threw and four 18 s or something. Lot of things up in the air right now so we will see.

I get tired of not having room too but the toolbox in the bed mostly fixes that

Well tool box is full of battery’s and cap banks too . I love it but jeez ! But it’s not a done deal yet and even my GF said “are you sure, you love that crap” and to be really sure lol ! Didn’t expect that from her ? She don’t get the stereo but she does get that it makes me happy and keeps me busy. Time will tell.

think about way to reduce space tbh, even just getting rid of the batts in the toolbox and going with lithiums under the hood with more caps. i mean if you really need more space going to 1 15 would still be plenty for you imo im half your age im perfectly content lol

you JUST finished it, wait like 6 months and enjoy it. you'll know for sure if you want to really downsize by then.

After having one of these for 6 months, I'm a little frustrated. I loved this amp for the first 3 months, then it started going into protect at 3/4 volume for no apparent reason. It was apparently fixed, but it still has the same issue. 

I'll report back if this stupidly long saga ever ends. Probably 6 months by the time it's finally resolved..
