tapping into factory amp, help quick please!

Hi,

*I've posted this in the wiring section - but since there alot's more hit in this section, I decided to post it here cause I am in the installation process, sorry if I am double posting and thanks for any help*

I have a 2003 Acura MDX with a factory bose system that have a low-level output from the HU to the factory amp. I decided to use one pair of RCA and cut off one end of it to tap into the low signal from the factory HU to factory AMP. Here is the wiring diagram of the factory AMP:



Let say I want to tap into the Audio Unit front set:

a) Do i tap into Audio unit right front + (cavity 21 on the connector above) into the R of the RCA and Audio unit right front - (cavity 8) into the L of the RCA?

OR

b) tap into Audio unit right + (cavity 21) into R of the RCA and Audio Unit left front + (cavity 23) into the L of the RCA?

I hope I've made my question clear. I've ran all of the wires already, just wanted to make sure before I start tapping into the factory connector. Thanks!

A) the rca R has a + and -. thoes tap in to the Right speaker + and - wires, the rca L goes to the Left speaker + and - wires.

but dependign on what your are useing that amp for, to power a woofer? or speakers.

if a woofer, id tap in to a speaker with thats crossed over lower, as in the rears, etc.

That's what I figured too, but when I cut the RCA, there only 1 set (little stranded copper) for the 'R' and that the same for the 'L'. Unless I somehow split that signal (very thin btw).

Forgot to mention that I have a kicker 5-ch amp, according to the manual, I only need one set of RCA connected to amp1 and all three amps (amp1, amp2, sub amp) should work. This will effectively disable the fader option.
