Take W7 Out of box prowedge

well it is clever for jl to design it this way to hide the screws, thus making the sub look better
u gotta be kidding right....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

they designed the sub that way so that big doofy surround wont use up any of the surface area...they didnt design it for looks

lol get this, i was at the audio shop yesterday. My buddy is getting 4 13w7's. The guy said, due to the voice coil configuration, the JL 1000 watt amp is the ONLY amp ever made that can push the W7. Anyways, the mounting system is stupid IMO

Guys, quit going OT with every single JL post. No one really GAF if you don't like it anymore. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

The link posted should help you.

You have to take off the ring first. Should be able to do so with your fingers. Then take a screwdriver and wedge it against the other ring. Tap it with your palm; no need for a hammer. When you pop it out, take your fingers and run around the edge to take it off. Then fold back the surround on the sub. You won't damage it. Remove screws. Pray to god that you can get the dang thing out of the box by yourself, then call it a day.
