I had similar results with a direct drop in test in a Blazer running in AS2. The HDC315 was about a dB louder than the R playing Lil John - Throw It Up off of a Powerbass 3000 amp. The only difference was that the HDC3 was wired to .5 ohm and the R was wired to 1 ohm. The R would probably have had problems taking that amp on music at .5 ohm anyways.

The Rs will smell if i get on them for a good while

I couldnt get the AQs to smell even with 2 500.1s

But is nice to know for burping and what not

I would take the HDC's over the R's for daily though.

But im about 1.5-2db down from kick to legal

Yesss.....there in lies the weirdness

.25 is pretty much 50%ish more power,theoretically, than .5ohm

So the Rs are only 1db off and with less power

Like i said, take what ya can from it......just numbers

Thats prolly the biggest/only thing you should take from this

Both subs are great

But look at the price diff, 1000ish for 4 AQs and 400 for 4 Rs

You dont need the best equipment to get loud, just know what ya doing with what ya got....anything should get loud
